Who is Eric Massey?

Southside Village Life Magazine: Where did you grow up? How long have you lived in the area? Tell us about your family.
Eric Massey: I was born and raised in the Sarasota area, although I lived in Orlando and Miami for a number of years. I have three amazing children: Grant, Jason and Evelyn, and my lovely wife, Sarah.
Southside Village Life Magazine: Tell us about the events that led up to where you are now (i.e. education, career path).
Eric Massey: My Father and Stepfather are successful businessmen and growing up in this environment pushed me to value integrity, hard work, independence, and structure. My background and values led me towards the business world and commercial real estate brokerage was a good fit.
Southside Village Life Magazine: What is your business and how/why did you start your business?
Eric Massey: I am a Senior Commercial Advisor with Michael Saunders & Company’s Commercial Real Estate Division. I’m a deal junkie and love doing commercial transactions. I got into the business during my time in Miami and concluded my time there at Cushman & Wakefield which was a great learning ground for me.
Southside Village Life Magazine: What is unique about your business (what sets you apart from the rest)?
Eric Massey: Commercial real estate can feel like the Wild West at times. But within this chaotic background things like hard work, market knowledge, commitment, integrity, resources and consistency set me apart from my competitors.
Southside Village Life Magazine: Given your business expertise and the nature of what you do, what advice (whether it is general or specific) can you offer to the residents?
Eric Massey: The best advice I can offer after being in the commercial real estate business for 23 years is you should only use Eric Massey to handle all your commercial real estate transactions.
