Sarasota Approves Paid Parking Garage Plan
The Sarasota City Commission has approved a plan to change the parking policy in the Palm Avenue and State Street parking garages. You may now park in these garages for three hours for free. If you need to park for four hours, you must pay $3. You must pay one additional dollar for every hour of parking beyond four hours as well. This plan will keep parking free for many visitors while also generating a little under $400,000 in revenue for the city. The new parking policy is scheduled to go in effect on Wednesday, January 17th, 2018.
